We felt like Wyatt was watching

To the Editor:

We just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who helped to make this year’s fund-raiser for the J. Wyatt Spencer Memorial Scholarship Fund such a success.

We had a big turnout of golfers and lots of you came for the dinner and drawing at Orchard Creek. Thank you.

And thank you to all of you who donated gifts and prizes for our giant drawing. It was the largest drawing ever, especially with the addition of the cruise tickets. Wow, than you.

But mostly we want to say thank you to our committee members who make this entire thing possible. This all started out as just a small idea and has grown into this big, wonderful event.

To see all those golfers roll away this year made all who witnessed it cry. And we all wondered if Wyatt was watching. We all felt like he was.

So, before any more time goes by, James and I just wanted to say thank you to all the people who gave so much and came out to support our cause. Thank you.

Because of all your incredible generosity we raised over $8,000 this year. So again we cannot say it enough — thank you and God Bless.

James and Bonnie Spencer
