Berne Library promises a ‘Hole Lot of Fun’!
To the Editor:
Link up with the Berne Library before you head outdoors to the golf links!
The Friends of the Berne Library invite you to improve your handicap on nine holes of mini-golf in the Berne Library on Saturday, May 17; tee time is from 4 to 8 p.m.
Thanks to community groups and Berne Library groups who have created the holes, you can swing through the library stacks! See if you can ace your way through the Berne Youth Council hole.
Perfect your golf skills as you swing your way through the Historic Markers of Berne, Knox, and Westerlo holes. Test your talent against the engineering skills of the Library Lego League as you aim around obstacles for an eagle on the Lego League hole.
Don’t bogey on the TAG (Teen Action Group) hole! Then putt through the Berne Lutheran Church hole and see if you can make a birdie amidst the sparkles on the Girl Scout hole!
A round of nine holes is $3 for children (aged 1through 16) and $5 for adults. The Friends of the Berne Library will be selling tacos, beverages, and cookies in the meeting room. Baskets with local items will be drawn for.
Enjoy a fun evening out for the whole family and support the Berne Library at the same time. We promise you a “Hole Lot of Fun” and “It is Fore the Library!”
