EAST GREENBUSH— Ronald Gene Czajkowski a religious and creative family man, died on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, from injuries sustained from a fall at Thacher Park. He was 44.

He was born Jan. 26, 1969, and graduated from Chatham High School in 1988. He also attended Columbia High School, Maple Hill High School and Chatham Brothers Academy, followed by Hudson Valley Community College. He played on the high school football team and was the president of his senior class.

He was a member of the House of Praise Church in Castleton, N.Y.

“Ron was a religious man, incredibly creative and artistic, and was blessed with an amazing sense of humor, which was only surpassed by his love of family and friends,” his family wrote in a tribute. “He was totally devoted to his three children.”

He was an avid writer and composed music as well as producing his own series of “Clown School.” its cast of characters consisted of his children, family, and friends.

Mr. Czajkowski is survived by his sons, Cody and Dylan; his daughter, Taylor; his mother and step-father, Joan and Bill Becker; his sister and brother-in-law, Nichole and John Tooker; his nephew, Tyler Tooker; his step sister, Wanda Becker; his girlfriend, Barbara Hannett; his grandmother, Gladys “Care Bear” Schermerhorn; his uncles, George, Ken, and Buddy Schermerhorn; his aunts, Gloria Satter, Marcia Schermerhorn, Rita Akin, and Peggy Myers; and numerous cousins.

His father, Ronald Czajkowski Sr. died before him, as did his grandparents, Stanley and Alphia Czajkowski; and grandfather, Morton W. Schermerhorn.

The family received friends on Monday, Sept. 16 at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home in Chatham. A memorial service was be celebrated on Tuesday, Sept. 17, at the House of Praise in Castleton.
