Burnside is there for the people, Kryzak shows up for our town

To the Editor:
I fully support the re-election of Supervisor Matt Kryzak and Councilwoman Amie Burnside.

I have been a councilwoman on the town board with Supervisor Kryzak and Councilwoman Burnside for almost two years. It has been my pleasure to work with them both.

Councilwoman Amie Burnside is there for the people; is highly qualified, and intelligent and knows the job inside and out. She is an asset to the board with her confidence, experience, and knowledge.

Councilwoman Burnside has no fear of stepping up if she is called to do so as her title of deputy supervisor attests to. She is always open to questions and answers them freely and is not afraid to ask questions either.

As a result, she has a wide knowledge of town business and its finances. Councilwoman Burnside is passionate about our veterans and their families and will continue to stand up for them. She also serves on and is the chairperson of the Westerlo Hometown Heroes Committee.

The councilwoman is also serving on the Citizens Committee for Park Improvement, which has been organizing cleanup, updates, and purchasing of new equipment to make our parks better for our community and especially our children. She cares deeply about her community.

I am proud to work next her and I am confident in my vote to keep Amie Burnside on our Town Council!

Supervisor Matt Kryzak shows up for our town with his leadership experience along with his decades of experience in budgeting and finance. Supervisor Kryzak has worked closely and will continue to do so with our Westerlo Volunteer Fire Company to help keep our emergency services up to date for the future of our town.

He is putting in place a Multi-Year Financial Plan and a Multi-Year Capital Project Improvements Plan so that the town will have funds available each year for jobs and repairs on town buildings or anything else that might arise.

The best part is that he is doing all this while keeping our taxes low. Supervisor Kryzak has and will continue to increase our fund balance and has managed to pay off almost all our old debt.

He works hard volunteering his time for many town committees and has stepped up to support our senior citizens, our children and grandchildren, our veterans, and all of us.

All of this, and more, takes someone knowledgeable, strong-willed, intelligent, and someone who possesses the ability to forge ahead with new ideas to get the job done! I am proud to have Supervisor Kryzak in charge of our finances and I am confident in my vote to keep him as Westerlo’s town supervisor!

Please join me in voting for the re-election of Supervisor Matt Kryzak and Councilwoman Amie Burnside to keep our town great!

Lorraine Pecylak

Westerlo

Editor’s note: Lorraine Pecylak is a member of the Westerlo Republican Committee. She also serves on the Hometown Heroes Committee; the Citizens Committee, which maintains the town parks; and the Law Committee, which is reviewing all of Westerlo’s laws.
