Elections really do have consequences

To the Editor:
Keep to yourself your own honest answers to the following questions, if you do not feel free to speak or write your honest opinions:

— Are you better off, or worse off, after nearly two years with one of our nation’s two major political parties in control of the United States House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, and the White House?  How are you better, or worse, off?

— Has the disastrously inept U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan improved your lot? If so, how so?

— Have you benefited from the memory of affordable energy, before President [Joe] Biden issued “day one” executive orders to restrict U.S. production of that affordable energy? Would you like to have those affordable prices back?

— Does Russian dictator [Vladimir] Putin seem to be responding productively to the leadership of President Biden and his party’s congressional majorities? Why, or why not: Putin’s degree of respect for Biden?

— Has OPEC [the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries] responded eagerly to President Biden’s pleas to increase their production of the oils that Biden prevented us from producing? Has OPEC’s decision to deny President Biden been helpful to you?

— Has your life been improved by the “defund the police” movement, which was once so proudly espoused by so many left-leaning politicians? Has Democrats’ “arrested criminals need no bail for release” been more a big positive for the victims of those released criminals, or for the criminals?

— Does the accelerated inflation, which began after the last presidential inauguration and after President Biden’s executive orders, tend more to improve, or to degrade, the quality of your life? How so?

— If you return the same political party to majorities in Congress, will the majorities that you reelect suddenly and honestly change their politics and results?

Think about how the outcome of this election can improve, or degrade, the quality of your life. Remember that elections really do have consequences. Vote for change in which you can believe, or get ready for more of the same quality leadership and results that you have enjoyed, or not, for the last nearly two years.
