Walker located after seven-hour search in pine bush

ALBANY COUNTY — A bloodhound used by the county sheriff’s office helped locate a missing Albany woman on Saturday.
Albany Police requested help from forest rangers at 10:34 a.m. on Sept. 10 after the husband of the 42-year-old woman said she was last seen at 7 a.m., saying she was “going into the woods,” according to a release from the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation.

The Albany Pine Bush was then searched by Guilderland, Albany, and state police as well as a forest ranger and sheriff’s deputies.

At 3 p.m., the sheriff’s bloodhound “showed considerable interest in the wooded area near the purple trail,” the release said, and, at 5:45 p.m., the woman was located and transported by emergency medical services.
