LATHAM — Two independent medical groups announced their intent to merge Friday morning. Although the consolidation must first be approved by the government, the two organizations — Community Care Physicians and CapitalCare Medical Group — are touting this an opportunity to connect more practices to a wider range of specialties.

BETHLEHEM — A jury on Feb. 2 found John DeFlumer, 59, of Delmar, guilty of drunk driving.

His case was heard in Bethlehem Town Court with Andrew W. Kirby presiding. DeFlumer was found guilty of driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and operating an uninspected vehicle — all misdemeanors.
