On Tuesday in Buffalo, Governor Kathy Hochul launched an educational listening tour for the Clean Water, Clean Air and Green Jobs Environmental Bond Act.

A handmade sign said, “No MAGA Default.” Another said, “Debt too high? Tax the wealthy.” A third said, “Thank you, Paul Tonko, for protecting Social Security,” and a fourth said, “Republicans want to de-fund the U.S.”

The St. Peter’s Hospital Dental Center is scheduled to close on June 30, after more than 50 years in operation, due to poor reimbursement rates for Medicaid patients. Although plans have not yet been finalized, Whitney Young Health Center is expected to take on at least some of the clinic’s patients. 

ALBANY COUNTY — On Wednesday, Albany County opened the window for applicants to seek federal pandemic funds from the American Rescue Plan Act.
