The 24th annual New York in Bloom show adorned the New York State Museum  with colorful arrangements reflecting historic agriculture and firefighting.

Kathleen “Kate” Grimm, a civic-minded woman who touched many lives, died peacefully, at her New York City home, on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015. She was 68.

Mark Grimm, of Guilderland, said his sister was his hero.

“What a great sense of duty she had,” he said. “She was a great leader, someone you always wanted to follow.”

In 2012, Community Caregivers started providing services in Albany. The services primarily include transporting people from two food pantries to their homes.

After the jail suicide of her son, Adam, Maryanne Rappaport says she will be guided by the counsel of her other children on whether to sue; the goal, she said, would be have the county jail make changes.

BETHLEHEM — What was Bethlehem like 50 years ago?  Certainly a lot has changed since the Bethlehem Historical Association was organized in 1965. 

As part of our golden anniversary celebration, the association is creating a photo display of 1960s-era Bethlehem.  And we need your help.
