It might have been a slow start, down 12 to 5 after the first quarter, for the Voorheesville Blackbirds girls’ basketball team last Friday evening, Jan. 13, at Ichabod Crane but the Birds fought back to win, 49 to 39. Olivia Barringer led the Birds with 17 points.
A flood of donations have gone to a GoFundMe page to help pay for the medical bills of Robert Zautner, owner of Toll Gate Ice Cream in the Slingerlands. Zautner has been in the hospital for over a week.
