The Old Men of the Mountain met at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant in Princetown on Tuesday, Aug. 13, to have their weekly day or morning out.

What was school like when grades one through eight were in the same classroom? Why did students walk several miles to school? Was it sanitary to share a dipper and drink out of a communal bucket?

This has been one of those eating from the garden weeks. We have enjoyed green beans, zucchini, green peppers and tomatoes. We also have eggplant.
