WESTERLO — Clinton J. Milner, known to all as “Jack,” was a man who knew how to make things with his hands, said his wife of 40 years, Nancy Quay Milner. He was a skilled hunter, a craftsman, and a talented pool builder, she said.
Berne’s three Democratic council members passed two resolutions on Sept. 11 that will put the metal detector, which the town already has and uses for its court sessions, in use for town board meetings, and also for zoning board and planning board meetings if the people who chair those boards call for it.

“These are general regulations for large- and small-scale solar,” said Deputy Supervisor Jason Rauf. “It’s not in favor or opposed. It’s just basic regulations.”
