On the opening day of the Altamont Fair, 27 young women, ages 5-40, compete in the Miss Altamont Fair pageant for the fair week and other community events through out the year.

Sparkling in her evening gown, Lexie Paddon, from Rotterdam was named Miss Altamont Fair on Tuesday, besting four other competitors, one being her sister. A total of 27 girls and women competed in seven divisions.
