It was another classic matchup between Shenendehowa and Guilderland girls’ lacrosse. This time, the two teams met up in the Class A sectional final last Thursday afternoon at Mohonasen High School. It’s the Dutch’s 13th straight sectional final and the Plainsmen going for their first sectional title. Both teams made history that day, it was the first sectional final overtime game. Two wins away from getting back to the state semifinals, the Dutch faced Kingston from section 9 on Wednesday evening at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School in a sub-regional game. Guilderland played with heavy hearts during the game wearing purple hair ties for a student who died in a car crash Tuesday evening. Staying with the hot hand, Guilderland’s Kadi Futia splits the Kingston defense in the first half. Futia had four goals and an assist in the game.
