On Friday, April 28, the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team held their senior night on the turf field at Guilderland High School as they hosted Albany. The Dutch sailed to an easy victory over the Falcons, 16 to 2.

The Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team hosted the Suburban Council foe Columbia on May 10. In the first half, the Dutch and Blue Devils traded goals. Once the Dutch came out of halftime, their defense stiffened  and they won 12 to 4.

The second season for Voorheesville and Guilderland lacrosse teams started last week — and ended this week.

For 14 years, the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team had reached the Class A sectional finals. But on Monday afternoon, at home, the Dutch witnessed a buzzsaw in Bethlehem that led from the opening whistle to the final buzzer and the Dutch, seeded second, lost, 14 to 3.

In a very physical matchup with Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on Thursday, the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team wrestled to victory, 6 to 5. The reigning Section 2 champions have a new coach this season: Kara Depaula who was an assistant last year.

It was a battle for the Guilderland girls’ lacrosse team last Saturday afternoon at Suffern Middle School against North Rockland from Section One. Guilderland had a late push in the second half, but the eight-goal difference after the first half was too much for the Dutch, who fell 13-10.

It was another classic matchup between Shenendehowa and Guilderland girls’ lacrosse. This time, the two teams met up in the Class A sectional final last Thursday afternoon at Mohonasen High School.
