Sunday, Aug. 5, at 10:00 a.m.: Dog Days of Summer at Thacher Park. Join us with your furry friends as we adventure through the park. Learn how to keep your dog cool, hydrated, and comfortable when exploring in the summer heat. We will begin at the LaGrange Bush parking area. Mohawk Hudson Land Conservancy Hike-a-Thon at Huyck Preserve. Come hike the Huyck as part of MHLC’s annual Hike-a-thon event! Kelly Martin, local animal rehabilitator, will lead participants on a light walk and then conclude with a close look at her rescued animals. History Paddle: Join Town Historian Susan Leath for a guided kayak paddle along the Hudson River and Vlomankill. Experience the historic Nicoll-Sill House, Winne’s dock, Parda Hook and, if the creek is passable, the waterfall on the Vlomankill.   Please arrive in time to unload and be on the water by 6 p.m. at the Henry Hudson Park kayak launch.
