Capital District Christian Women's Connection will be holding their luncheon 11.30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Guilderland Elks Lodge, 3867 Rte 146 (Carman Road), Guilderland, NY 12303. Put a little spice in your life and let Kara Lustiber teach you to make kimchi, a beloved Korean side dish.  During this hands-on class you’ll learn different preparation and ingredient variations, and about the many benefits of consuming kimchi.  Each attendee will make a classic kimchi with Napa cabbage to take home.  Space is limited; please register.

Spaghetti supper: Jerusalem Reformed Church on Route 32 in Feura Bush is having a supper of spaghetti, meatballs, fresh bread, and dessert. Free will donation. 4 to 6:30 p.m.

Pancake breakfast at the Clarksville firehouse 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. featuring all you can eat pancakes, French toast, eggs, toast, coffee, and more. Cost is $9 for adults age 10 and over, children under age 5 eat free while all others are just $5. Proceeds benefit the Onesquethaw Fire Company.
