"EAT & SHOP" IN MEDUSA" - On Dec. 16, it will be the day to have Breakfast and go shopping in Medusa. There will be a Breakfast at the Fire House from 7  to 11 am. All you can eat for a free will offering. The Medusa Church will have their 2nd Holiday Rummage Sale from 8 am to 12 pm. More items will be added to the sale.

The Thacher Park Visitor Center will be hosting a Holiday Open House on Saturday, Dec. 16, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.  Come and enjoy the beautiful views, listen to live holiday music from noon – 2 pm, and relax by a cozy fire!  Shop for holiday gifts in the Visitor Center Gift Nook.  Enjoy free hot beverages, cookies, and other holiday treats.  Kids are welcomed to make a holiday craft.  In case of inclement weather conditions, please call the Visitor Center at 518-872-1237 to confirm the event.

“What Sweeter Music: Holiday Songs with CCV”. Capital Community Voices, directed by Julie Panke, will present a program of classical and popular holiday songs on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 7:30 pm at Genet Elementary School, Route 4, East Greenbush, NY.

On Sunday, Dec. 10, Blaire Horner will discuss the steps that should be taken to reverse NYS's awful record in voter registration and turnout. Presented by The Capital District Humanist Society. Cornell Cooperative Extension-Albany and the Capital Area Agriculture & Horticulture Program are pleased to announce an upcoming series of Farmer Discussion Meetings, to be held in Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia and Washington Counties on various dates. We will get together over lunch (provided free). Then Aaron Gabriel will discuss basic insect biology and identification; including practice in using a hand lens to look at insects and how to send pictures using a phone.

The Delmar Community Orchestra, under the direction of Conductor Michael Blostein, will present a Holiday Concert on Monday, Dec. 11 at 7:30 pm at the Bethlehem Town Hall (445 Delaware Ave., Delmar).  The concert is free and open to the public.  The program will include will include selections from Vivaldi, Sibelius, and Telemann as well as pops and holiday favorites.
