JOHN BURROUGHS:  THE MAN, THE LEGEND at 10 am. Join us for this indoor presentation on John Burroughs (April 3, 1837 - March 29, 1921). On Friday, April 6, from 2 - 3 p.m., SUNY Poly Children’s Museum of Science and Technology (CMOST) visitors will be able to take part in an “Intro to Nano” program, free with admission to the museum, featuring presentations and activities, providing a hands-on approach to learning about magnetics and electrical circuits. Susan Burton, author, activist and former inmate will talk about her life and work as part of the keynote event at UAlbany's School of Criminal Justice's symposium "Incarcerating Girls and Women: Past and Present." She will speak following a screening of the Moyers & Company edition of "Incarceration Nation" 7 p.m. Friday, April 6 at Page Hall, 135 Western Avenue, on the University at Albany downtown campus. FAMILY FUN: SQUIRRELS FOR KIDS at 10 a.m. Join us for this event, including an indoor presentation, a craft project, and games to learn about the squirrels in our area. If weather permits, we will head outside for a walk to look for signs of these animals and perhaps find the animals themselves. This program is geared toward children ages 5-10. The Guilderland Public Library, 2228 Western Ave., will share its plans for the library’s renewal and seek public input on Wednesday, April 11 at 3 pm and again at 7 pm.

Thursday Musical Club will present a concert, "Songs for Suffrage, Voices for Votes", in the Carl B. Taylor Auditorium at Schenectady County Community College on April 11 at 7 pm.

The Town of Guilderland and the Lyme Action Network will co-sponsor an informational presentation by Prof. Holly Ahern, SUNY Adirondack microbiology professor and nationally recognized expert on Lyme and other tick-borne diseases on April 10 at 7 pm at the Guilderland Town Hall.

Revels in the Cheerful Spring on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. The Helderberg Madrigal Singers present a celebration of the gentle season in a program of vocal music from the 13th - 18th centuries accompanied by period instruments. Sponsored by the New Scotland Historical Association, this program will be presented at 7:30 p.m. at the Wyman Osterhout Community Center, 7 Old New Salem Rd., Voorheesville (New Salem) 12186.  The Museum opens at 7:00. The program is free and open to the public.
