Rensselaerville Ramble Trail Run and Walk on Saturday, June 16. Register at 7:30, Run/walk begins at 9:00 am. The third annual Ramble is upon us! Join us for a joint fundraiser for the Huyck Preserve and Rensselaerville Library in this fun-for-all-ages recreational event. A diverse spectrum of ages and levels of athletic ability will head for the trails. Choose between a 2-, 5-, or 8-mile route, or sign your little one up for the free Wood Duck Dash! This event takes runners and walkers on some of the most beautiful, less used trails of the Preserve.

The 57th Hilltowns Memorial Day Parade is both a celebration and a memorial event commemorating those who have been lost during service to our country. This year’s theme is “Never forget, ever honor” and participants will include: Berne-Knox-Westerlo marching band, floats, military and classic vehicles, horses, fire and emergency vehicles as well as marching groups. The parade begins at 10:00 am and proceeds through the village of Berne.

The Rensselaerville Historical Society opens for the season and will be holding its Annual Bake Sale on Sunday, May 27 from 12 - 3 pm.  We would appreciate any donations of baked goods for our fundraiser. They can be dropped off at the Mill at 11:00 AM on Sunday the 27. Call (518) 239-4507. This year, the Grist Mill tours and genealogy research will be open on Wednesdays from 11 - 2 pm and on Sundays from 1 - 3 pm until Labor Day weekend.
