Community Caregivers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enabling individuals of all ages to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life within their homes and communities, will hold its 24th annual gala on Saturday, Nov. 17 from 6 pm to 10 pm at Albany Country Club, 300 Wormer Road, Voorheesville, NY. The Voorheesville Fire Department will be holding a Brooks BBQ at the Firehouse, 12 Altamont Road, Voorheesville, on Tuesday Nov. 13 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. This is a drive through event and the menu will consist of chicken dinners or ala carte and rib dinners or ala carte.
Shine a Light on Lung Cancer event from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov.13 at the Hilton Garden Inn at Albany Med. Speakers include Albany Med’s Thomas Fabian, M.D., section chief of thoracic surgery, as well as lung cancer survivors and caregivers.
