ALTAMONT — Bruce Alan Sell of Altamont, a religious man with a great love of family, died suddenly at his second home in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2021. He was 73.

Mr. Sell was born June 10, 1948 in New Kensington, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Gloria (née McGregor) Sell. He attended New Kensington High School, followed by Penn Technical Institute.

He retired from ATC in Schenectady, where he enjoyed his quality-control position. Prior to that, he owned and operated Import Auto Sales and was previously an information technology specialist for various companies.

“Bruce loved the Lord and was a member of Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and was involved in a small group,” his family wrote in a tribute. “Most recently he regularly attended Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church.

“He was a collector of MG cars and had been involved with the Adirondack Triumph Association car club. He will be missed by numerous neighborhood, church, and work friends. Bruce had an immeasurable amount of love and pride for his family.”

Bruce Alan Sell is survived by his son, Joseph Sell and his wife, Jennifer; by his daughter, Catherine Dufkin and her husband, William; by his granddaughters, Alexis Gloria and Hannah Rose Sell; and by his grandson, William Joseph Dufkin IV.

His parents, Gloria and Joseph Sell, died before him, as did his son Bryan Sell.

He will be laid to rest alongside his parents at Palm Eastern Mortuary & Cemetery, 7600 S Eastern Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89123.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 27, at 10 a.m. at Duanesburg Reformed Presbyterian Church, 6512 Western Turnpike, Duanesburg, NY 12056. Those who don’t live locally are welcome to attend virtually via live stream at https://www.facebook.com/duanesburgchurch.org/.

A celebration of life reception will follow.

Condolences to the Sell Family

So sad to learn of Bruce's passing. He was a wonderful neighbor on Brandle Rd in Altamont for 15 years, frequently helping me with snow removal and mechanical advice. An excellent conversationalist, a loving father and grandfather, and a kind man of strong faith, Bruce will be missed in our neighborhood. God bless you Joe and Cathy.
