At its reorganizational meeting on Monday, Jan.1, the New Scotland Town Board welcomed new member Daniel Leinung, who takes over for Laura Ten Eyck; named two new members to the planning board; and made a number of appointments.
New Scotland Town Clerk Diane Deschenes said that she has collected over a million dollars towards 2018 taxes, as residents prepaid part of their property tax bill in the hope of avoiding paying more under the new GOP tax law.
