QUAKER STREET 

Quite a number from here attended the Altamont fair last week and we see many also going to Cobleskill this week. It is fortunate that both fairs had good weather.

From all over two counties they came by the thousands this week to the Albany-Schenectady County fair, which by leaps and bounds is after the “second to none” banner in the county fairs of this state.

FALL TERM OF ALTAMONT
SCHOOL BEGAN TUESDAY 

The Altamont High School opened its doors on Tuesday morning, under direction of its new principal, Prof. Lester F. Bacon. 

The present enrollment in the academic department shows 27 resident pupils and 39 non-resident. 

FARMERS HOLD PICNIC

AT THE FAIR GROUNDS 

The largest crowd ever assembled at the Altamont Fair grounds outside of the County Fair event was that which gathered there last Saturday to attend the first annual farmers’ picnic under the auspices of the Albany County Farm Bureau.
