On Jan. 25, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo bowling team had a virtual match against Middleburgh at Town n’ Country lanes in Guilderland. The boys team fell 2.5 to 1.5, tied in total pins at 2,388, while the girls team fell 4 to 0, 2,991 to 1816 in total pins.

The Guilderville boys swimming, made up of Guilderland and Voorheesville students, took on Shaker Blue Bison in a Jan. 21 virtual swim meet. Guilderville won 95 to 75 and improved their record to 4-1.

“It will be through due diligence and science that this decision will be made,” said Albany County Health Commissioner of whether high-risk sports will be allowed.

Tuesday morning the Guilderland Varsity Bowling team did their half of their virtual match against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake at Town n' Country lanes in Guilderland. The Dutch lost 4 to 1 and 3451 to 3279 in total pins.

On Sunday, the Guilderland Gymnastics team traveled to World Class Gymnastics in Latham to take on the Bethlehem Eagles, who were coming out of quarantine, for a dual meet. Guilderland's original opponent Shaker just went into quarantine due to COVID. Guilderland won 162.975 to 156.15.

On Tuesday afternoon at Town n' Country lanes in Guilderland, Voorheesville had a virtual match against Cobleskill-Richaondville, both teams bowl in their home lanes and send in scores due to the pandemic. The Blackbirds won 17.5 to 14.5.

Last Thursday, the Guilderville boys swimming team held a virtual match against Niskayuna. The combined team of Guilderland-Voorheesville won 94 to 88.

The Guilderland varsity nordic team traveled to Gore Mountain Ski Bowl in North Creek on Tuesday afternoon to face off against nine other schools in the Queensbury Invitational. The Guilderland girls finished sixth overall with 62 points while the boys finished ninth with 108 points.

On Sunday, the Guilderland Dutch varsity gymnastics team kicked off their season at the Hatsgiving charity event, which donates winter hats to children who have lost their hair while battling cancer. The event was held at World Class Gymnastics in Latham.
