FMS PTA Vendor and Craft Fair on October 5th, held at Farnsworth Middle School

The Albany County Soil and Water Conservation District’s free tire-recycling program attracted over 50 Albany County residents, removing 900 tires from potentially being left on county roads, streambanks, and private property; they were sent to a tire recycling facility instead.

John R. Dunne, Senior Counsel with Whiteman Osterman & Hanna LLP, will be honored with the Haywood Burns Memorial Award by the New York State Bar Association’s Committee on Civil Rights on Oct. 16 at the City University of New York Law in Long Island City, New York.

Keegan Bailey of Altamont, for his Eagle Scout project, spearheaded the construction and installation of two large picnic tables on the grounds of the Duanesburg YMCA facility in Delanson.

DELMAR — The Mendelssohn Club of Albany is searching for a new conductor to lead the chorus for the 2020-2021 season beginning on June 1, 2020.

The club’s long-time conductor, Jeffrey Vredenburg, will retire following the annual spring concert in May of 2020. He has conducted the chorus for 21 years.
