Scouts hold bottle drive

GUILDERLAND — Help support scouting by leaving your deposit cans and bottles out for us on Saturday, Oct. 19. Boy Scouts from St Madeleine Sophie’s Troop 50 will be holding their annual Bottle Drive that day.

Scouts will be collecting returnable deposit cans and bottles door-to-door. Pickup will begin at 8:30 a.m. and go until 2 p.m.

We will be collecting on East and West Lydius streets, Old State Road, Carman Road, Lone Pine, Fuller Station Road, Willow Street, Route 20 from Route 146 to Fuller Station Road and all adjoining neighborhoods off of those roads.

Residents may leave items for collection by their mailbox or drop them off behind the Fort Hunter firehouse on Carman Road.

Proceeds from the drive will be used to benefit the troop and its programs. If you have any questions, or if we missed your pickup on Saturday, please call me, Larry Vincent, at 518-859-9633.

Editor’s note: Larry Vincent is the assistant scoutmaster for Troop 50.
