VOORHEESVILLE — Andrea Zamorski Hampston, a librarian who loved her family, made connections with people, near and far.

RENSSELAERVILLE – Dorothy Ann Hostash worked as a nurse for 45 years, returning near the end of her life to the Hilltown farm where she’d been raised.

Ms. Hostash died on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, after a long illness. She was 73.

ALTAMONT — Natalie S. Michaels “was a fun-loving person, whose smile would light up a room,” said her wife, Eileen Margaret.

“When I first saw her, that’s what I saw — just that smiling face,” Ms. Margaret said.

Natalie S. Michaels died at her Altamont home under hospice care on Dec. 30, 2017. She was 71.

James W. McIntyre Sr.

ALTAMONT — James W. McIntyre Sr. loved the Marines, loved his work at General Electric, and loved his family. He died on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, in Florida with his family. He was 80.

“He was an all-around good guy,” said his son Timothy McIntyre. “He will be sorely missed.”

WESTERLO — Ryan Randall Britton, an outdoorsman with a degree in mechanical engineering, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at his Westerlo home. He was 22.

He was born on April 6, 1995 in Albany.

Betty Marie Moak

NEW SCOTLAND — Betty Marie Moak (née Tenney) “was an independent woman who traveled the world,” her family said.

She died on Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was 92.

Marcia J. Pangburn

EAST BERNE — Marcia J. Pangburn, a devoted and fun-loving mother, worked hard as an x-ray technician to support her children.

She died on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, after a short illness. She was 60.

Maxine Larsen

ALBANY — Maxine Larsen, a mother of five, enjoyed rug-hooking, sewing, and quilting.

She died on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018. She was 96 and had most recently lived in Albany’s Teresian House.

Alice ‘Joanne’ Arpin

VOORHEESVILLE — Alice “Joanne” Arpin, a kind and spiritual woman, died on Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

“Joanne joined her beloved husband of 41 years, Gerald, and infant son, Gary, for their long-awaited reunion in Heaven,” her family wrote in a tribute. She was 87.

KEENE — Ed Hale liked challenges. He met them with courage and grace.

Alfred W. Higgins

Alfred W. Higgins, of Cobleskill, a highway worker who liked creating things with his hands, died on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2017, at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Delmar. He was 86.

He was born at home in New Salem on June 5, 1931, a son of the late Harold and Bertha Oliver Higgins.

ALBANY — Arthur G. Molle Jr. — a loving husband and father who will be deeply missed, his family said — died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, after a brief struggle with cancer.  He was 88.
