CLARKSVILLE — Join the Clarksville Historical Society on Wednesday evening, May 3, at 7 p.m. at the Clarksville Community Church on Delaware Turnpike for an interesting presentation on New York license plate and vehicle registration history.

NEW SCOTLAND — A Hiking and Backpacking Workshop on April 8 let new hikers ask questions, try gear, build fires, practice skills, and identify useful plants.

NEW SCOTLAND — Kids who are 8 and older may join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Albany County for a six-week dog-obedience class designed for youth participants.

With or without experience, kids can sign up to help their family pets become better behaved and learn basic obedience exercises.

GUILDERLAND — Bill Buell will tell the story of a historic political upset. He’ll present a program titled “1912: George Lunn and the Socialist Takeover of Schenectady” for the Guilderland Historical Society on Thursday, April 20.

The Capital District Transportation Authority and the Capital district Physicians’ Health Plan say the public will help decide where CDPHP Cycle! stations will be located. Voting is underway at www.CDPHPcycle.com.
