Town board splits along party lines on just two appointments

GUILDERLAND — Following the November elections, which returned the Democratic incumbents to office, no new appointments were made for the new year.

BERNE ¾ As his first order of business, George Gebe, Berne’s new supervisor, wished a happy New Year to those who watched him take the oath of office at the town board’s 2010 re-organizational meeting on Jan. 1.

GUILDERLAND — The school board voted unanimously Tuesday night to appoint Charles Dedrick, the district superintendent for the Capital Region BOCES, as a search consultant for finding a new leader for the Guilderland schools.

ALTAMONT — Paula Dunnells, a supervisor for the Altamont Rescue Squad, has been arrested for falsifying business records on payroll slips, and for grand and petit larceny.
