GUILDERLAND — Edward Handy, 55, of Guilderland, died after his motorcycle was struck on Western Avenue, by a pickup truck on Saturday, May 2. The accident occurred at about 5:30 a.m., according to Guilderland Police.

School district looks to change health habits

GUILDERLAND — The school district here is looking to change some health habits for workers so that it can save money.

GUILDERLAND — St. Boniface Episcopal Church will have a new priest on June 13, when Steven Scherck, currently a deacon, is ordained.

Last Sunday, the church celebrated Scherck as its new rector.

BERNE — Supervisor Kevin Crosier, a Democrat who won elections in 2001 and 2005 on the Republican line, will not have GOP backing this time around, although Crosier is undecided on whether or not he is running this year.

KNOX — Edmund Moore of Knox has agreed to six months in Albany County’s jail for criminally negligent homicide, according to the prosecutor in the case. There will be no trial.
