Our pantry — and gratitude — overflows

To the Editor:

I am writing once again to acknowledge the fantastic efforts of the Voorheesville Cub Scout Pack 73 for their collection of food and personal-care items for the New Scotland Community Food Pantry.

Their efforts netted the food pantry 2,400 pounds of food and personal-care items!

Voorheesville is an incredibly generous community. The Cub Scouts went door-to-door on Saturday morning to collect these items from our residents and then delivered them to the pantry. Our members were on hand to receive and sort these gifts with gratitude — our pantry is overflowing.

Thank you to all who donated and especially to the Cub Scouts for their efforts on behalf of the New Scotland Community Food Pantry.
