EAST BERNE — Spencer Flansburg died at home on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023. He was 82 years old.

He was born in Albany to the late Henrietta Jones and James Flansburg.

He was a member of the laborers’ union and the electricians’ union.

He was a lifetime member of the Voorheesville Rod and Gun Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and following the horses.

Spencer Flansburg is survived by his daughters, Sherry (the late Dennis Cole) and Rhonda (Barry Gasparro). He is also survived by his partner of 35 years, Pauline Lawyer. He will also be missed by his stepson, Matt Warnken, and step-grandsons, Cole and Kyle Warnken, as well as many nieces and nephews. 

His brother James (Margie) died before him, as did his sisters, Janet (Christ Peterson) and Shirley (James Shelmerdine).

A calling hour for friends and relatives will be held on Saturday, Dec. 30, from 10 to 11 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals at 343 New Karner Road in Colonie. A time to share memories will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
