Guard promotes

These local members of the New York Army National Guard have recently been promoted:

— Kenneth Allen from Delmar, assigned to the 1427th Transportation Company, received a promotion to the rank of staff sergeant;

— Devin McGill from Westerlo, assigned to the Headquarters and Support Company, 204th Engineer Battalion, received a promotion to the rank of specialist; and

— Jeremy Blackie from Delmar, assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 0501 Ordnance Disposal, received a promotion to the rank of master sergeant.

Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
