Enjoy a magical afternoon with Mrs. Claus

To the Editor:

The New Salem Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will be hosting its ninth annual Teddy Bear Tea with Mrs. Claus for boys and girls on Sunday, Dec. 11, with seating at 1 p.m. at the New Salem Fire Station at 694 New Salem Road in New Scotland.

New Salem’s auxiliary will be busy crafting, decorating, and making Christmas cookies, and has been in contact with Mrs. Claus to help her plan to have another wonderful event for the children in the community.

The children will listen to stories again this year read by Mrs. Claus and they will participate in fun activities along with enjoying tea sandwiches and, of course, hot cocoa.  Come and enjoy this magical afternoon planned with promises of a wonderful time to be had by all.

Paid advance reservations are required by Monday, Dec. 5. Please call (518) 650-7636 to make your reservations. The children attending must be at least 2 years old. The cost is $20 for a parent and one child. Each additional guest (siblings, Grandma, Grandpa, cousins, and friends) is $5. Bring your camera for photo opportunities.

A portion of the proceeds, as in past years, will be donated to the Albany County Sheriff's Office Hilltown Christmas Program.
