Share your stories for future curious minds to enjoy

To the Editor:

Twenty people with a thirst, interest, and curiosity for local history got together at the end of June to share memories. After two hours of remembrances, the group enthusiastically called for more.

Knowing our personal stories are being held hostage and yearning to escape, another Greet, Meet and Share is on the calendar for July 21 at 6 p.m. at the Berne Public Library. Let’s see what we can do about freeing and corralling our stories for future curious minds to enjoy.

This venture is sponsored by the Berne Historical Society and is open to all those interested in learning more about local history and life in the Hilltowns.

Also, the Berne Museum will be open for tours on most Sundays in July and August from 1 to 3 p.m. Call 518-872-0431 for more information. Thank you and see you on the trail!
