New cardiologist at AMC
Neil Yager, a doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and an interventional cardiologist, has joined Albany Medical Center’s Division of Cardiology and has been appointed assistant professor of cardiology at Albany Medical College.
Yager treats adults for coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease using nonsurgical interventional treatments, such as stents and angioplasty.
After completing his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University, Yager earned his osteopathic medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Albany Medical College, where he also completed fellowship training in cardiology.
In addition, Yager completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology from Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine, echocardiography, and cardiovascular disease.
