To the Editor:

On Oct. 22, the village of Altamont hosted our First Inaugural Fall Festival. Despite moving the event indoors and the rainy cold day, we had an outstanding turnout!

Thank you to our lovely vendors, our helpful volunteers from Guilderland High School Key Club and Natural Helpers and the community, Joe Nuciforo for donating the mini pumpkins for decorating, Bozenkill Park for providing paints and crafts for the kids, Kelly Best and Patty Blackwood for their encouragement and support, and our Mayor James Gaughan for giving the newcomer on the board the opportunity to take on this event.

Special thanks to our community sponsors Leanne Royer of CM Fox Real Estate, Paisano’s Pizza Villa, and the Home Front Café without whom we wouldn’t be able to get this event off the ground.

We appreciate your support in making our first Fall Festival a huge success. We look forward to seeing you next year!
