Dr. Karl Muck, the late leader of the Boston Symphony orchestra, has been deported. By the time he reaches Germany he should be in the mood to set Lissauer’s “Hymn of Hate” to music.
Albany Bible Conference.
Plans have been completed and some of the best Bible teachers in the United States and Canada have been engaged to give Albany and the surrounding country the greatest Bible conference ever held north of New York. The conference will last four days, from Nov. 17 to 20. Full program will be given later.
DANISH FARMERS’ MEETING.
A number of the many Danish farmers in the neighborhood of Albany decided that it would be an excellent thing to have an opportunity for all of their countrymen within easy reach of Albany to meet and talk over experiences, both in their old and new fatherlands. They are all good Americans, many sons served in the U. S. army or navy, and a goodly number lie in the soil of France. Many of them came here from Canada with their families and have found comfortable homes. With their limited means still they have already been able to improve many of these badly neglected farms, and are “making good” in every way, are well pleased and advised friends to follow their example.
Not only are invitations sent out to more than 100 Danish farmers in the state, but also all Swedish and Norwegian farmers within reach are invited to join their Danish neighbors. Good speakers, both Danes and Americans, have been secured, and we may expect much benefit and pleasure from this gathering. They may feel sure Albany wishes them heartily welcome.

ALTAMONT HIGH SCHOOL NOTES.
Mrs. Elton Walker, daughter of the late John B. Brownell, presented to the school library 28 copies from her father’s library. The books are in excellent condition and should prove very valuable for school work. The donation is greatly appreciated.
