ANNIVERSARY OF THE
REFORMED CHURCH

The congregation and friends of the Altamont Reformed church will meet tonight to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the organization of the church.

Rev. C. P. Ditmars, who as president of Schenectady Classis in 1896, presided at the meeting at which the church was formally organized, will be present and deliver the principal address. Rev. George G. Seibert of Delmar will also appear on the program. Raleigh Moffett of Guilderland Center will sing a number of vocal selections, and Mrs. Giles and Miss Waterman will furnish harp and organ music.

A cordial invitation is extended to all the friends of the church to be present and enjoy this occasion.

BERNE NEWS

— Chester Miller, a student of the Cobleskill Agricultural school, is home for the summer vacation. He won the silver cup presented by the state for the best fitted cow. There were 35 in the contest. Congratulations to Chester.

— Charles Scrafford, Josephine Swart and M. Alberta Ball returned to their school duties at the Schoharie High on Monday, after spending a ten day vacation at their respective homes.

— Mrs. D. A. Hinman and daughter, Hester, returned to Albany on Monday, where Miss Hester is a student of the Albany High school.

GUILDERLAND CENTER LUTHERAN CHURCH

Because of omissions in last week’s issue, mention is made at this time of the Easter communion service on April 4th. A short preparatory service with sermon preceded it. A goodly number of the membership partook of the Holy sacrament.

The floral decorations also deserve more than a passing mention. Four beautiful Easter lilies with potted hyacinths and tulips, with palms from the parsonage as a background, made a very beautiful setting. Mrs. F. H. Hurst secured and arranged the decorations, and they certainly were very fine. The Missionary ladies and the Sunday school, with some private donations, furnished the funds for the potted plants, which were distributed among the many sick ones of the church on Monday.

ADDITIONAL LOCALS

— Miss Thelma Lainhart entertained several of her young friends at her home Thursday afternoon, the occasion being her birthday. Games were played during the afternoon, Elsie Pangburn receiving a prize for the highest score. A supper was served at six o’clock.

— Mrs. A. I. Cullen has the misfortune to fall, Monday, and dislocate her right elbow. She was taken to the Albany hospital for treatment. She was brought home Tuesday and is confined to her room.

NEWS OF THE TWIN VILLAGES
Miss Boice of Elnora is teaching this week in place of Miss Zeh. Miss Zeh was taken with the measles while at Washington and had to go to her home at Endicott.

QUAKER STREET
— Hiram Mann made a business trip to Cobleskill yesterday.

— Wade Brown has a position as chauffeur, for the Schaffer stores at Schenectady.

— Christopher Luck is able to be out around. He was run down by an auto last winter and injured severely. The parties who did it took him home, and said he was all right, and beat it out of town.
