Knox remembers 9/11

The Knox firehouse provides the backdrop for a Sept. 11 gathering honoring those who died because of the 2001 terrorists’ attack.

To the Editor:

Each year, our community remembers 9/11.

Gathering at the Knox firehouse, Boy Scout Troop 79, the men and women of the Knox fire company, the Hilltown Players Band, and the American Legion and community members pay tribute to the fallen.

Valerie Ackroyd, who worked with the FBI and was at Ground Zero, spoke this year about her experience there.

As George W. Bush said, “We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family member that lives in grief. We will remember….”
