To the Editor:

My husband and I are new to the New Scotland area and have recently moved into a Biernacki home in Voorheesville.  My husband took a walk to Stewart's the other day and picked up a copy of the most recent Altamont Enterprise.

I have to tell you that I am very impressed with this publication — the breadth and depth of coverage and the quality of the writing.  The editorials are thoughtful and the paper has a nice layout.

The news about the impending closure of a local institution, Smitty’s Tavern,  has been extensive and particularly interesting to me.

This newspaper is a huge asset to our area in terms of keeping us informed of events and important issues.  It is loaded with articles of substance and short on fluff.

I couldn't be more pleased we have a paper of this quality available to us weekly.  I look forward to the next issue and many more.  Keep up the great job!
