Insults thrown at Crossgates Mall are completely uncalled for

To the Editor:

I read a letter to the editor posted this past week about Crossgates Mall and the fact that the mall should be avoided due to a concern over the Rapp Road historic community [“Avoid mall until historic Black community gets traffic pattern that won’t harm it”].

As a Guilderland resident, I have followed the proposed development of Costco and haven’t seen anything that shows that they are not willing to work with the residents of Rapp Road. In fact, if you read the letters and statements on the town’s website, you’ll see that there have been numerous solutions offered by the town.

But that particular piece of Rapp Road lies within the city of Albany. I think the real question is: What is the city doing to offer a change for the residents of Rapp Road?

I think that the insults thrown at Crossgates Mall are completely uncalled for and maybe the writer should do his research before making such harsh comments.
