Local needlework to shine at show hosted by Hilltown historical societies

To the Editor:

The Knox and Berne historical societies are again joining forces to present the “Artistic Quilts and Needlework Show of Knox, Berne, and Surrounding Communities.” The show will be held on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Knox Town Hall. There will be demonstrations of various crafts and members of the public can vote for their favorite quilt and needlework item.

Quilting and needlework of all kinds have a long history in the area and the historical societies are happy to recognize these traditions with this show. If you have a quilt or needlework item that you would like to display in the show, please contact me, Donna Gwin, at 518-872-2161.

This show is being held in conjunction with the Helderberg Hilltown Association Farm and Artisan Tour.
