We need a Costco

To the Editor:

I strongly believe we need a Costco in our area. I love their prices, warranties, and even their name-brand products. Knowing that a wonderful retailer like Costco wants to be in our town, in order to serve our community and the entire Capital Region, is priceless.

Especially given what has happened to our economy in the past several months due to COVID-19, not allowing this project to commence would be a detriment to the town. The good that will come of this far outweighs what people believe to be the negative.

Currently, I must drive to Massachusetts to shop Costco. BJ’s prices are not as good as they used to be, and Sam’s Club is like going to a Walmart warehouse. So, if I want to spend my money, and plenty of us do, we have to drive for hours to reach such a convenience. Why would we want that when it could be our town benefiting from it?

Our area can support this, and it will give another option to shop a great warehouse store. I will continue to support this project and I hope our town will as well.
