GUILDERLAND — A woman says she was “held against her will” between Aug. 11 and 17 and “repeatedly sexually assaulted” by Wyatt J. Bleau at his residence, according to an Aug. 17 release from Guilderland Police.

Bleau was charged with first-degree rape, second-dgree strangulation, criminal obstruction of breathing, third-degree assault, and first-degree criminal sexual act.

Police say there may be additional victims and anyone with information should contact an investigator with Guilderland’s Criminal Investigation Unit at 518-356-1501 or email .

An arrest report filed by Officer Charles Tanner of the Guilderland Police says that Bleau “did, over a course of time, engage in non-consensual sexual intercourse with the victim and did strangle the victim to the point the victim went unconscious” and “sustained physical injury.”

Tanner’s report also says the victim fled Bleau’s residence and called police after which Bleau was taken into custody at his home and arraigned in Guilderland Town Court before being remanded to Albany County’s jail without bail.

Bleau lives in #10 at 2360 Western Ave. in Guilderland, the M and M Motel. Within the last year, The Enterprise has reported on several men, convicted sex offenders, who live at the same old motel.

Bleau, 27, is a registered sex offender. He is designated as a Level 2 offender, the middle of three categories, on the state’s sex-offender registry.

The registry describes him as a white male who weighs 187 pounds and stands 5 feet, 8 inches tall with green eyes and brown hair.

He was arrested five years ago by Colonie Town Police for having sexual intercourse and sexual contact with two female victims, aged 19 and 23, to whom he was known, the registry says; he did not use a weapon but “choked” and “immediately physically overpowered” them.

A computer was used in committing the Jan. 28, 2017 crimes, the registry says, and Bleau was convicted on Jan. 25, 2018 and sentenced to 18 months in state prison.
