Blue Ribbon Culinary seeks fair entries

To the Editor:

Are you a baker? Do you have a specialty? Do you can fruits or vegetables?

The Blue Ribbon Culinary Building at the Altamont Fair is looking for entries for this year’s fair that runs from Aug. 13 through Aug. 18.

This year, we will be having a Savory Apple Dish competition sponsored by Indian Ladder Farms, a Breakfast Sandwich competition sponsored by Bountiful Bread, and two kids’ events — Fish Cone and Crazy Sandwich competition.

Our own Jim Haas and Karen Mort will be back demonstrating. 

Also, a Meatloaf competition will be sponsored by the Chuck Wagon Diner. 

New this year is a spaghetti-eating competition on Saturday and two new demonstrators, LeeAna Doolin and Michael Abbatiello.
