Wickham has the work ethic needed

To the Editor:

The most effective people I know who serve on the Albany County Legislature are hard-working, honest, and independent.

In the past two years, we’ve made considerable progress in drafting and enacting legislation that protects our environment, helps our youth and seniors, and reduces costs to most ratepayers in Albany County.

We are on a positive trend in the legislature. But I need more individuals like the ones I described above to come serve alongside me.

This is why I am asking you to vote for Steve Wickham for Albany County Legislator on Primary Day, June 25.

Steve is already demonstrating he has the work ethic and dedication needed to serve the people of the 30th District diligently and with integrity and independence.

He’s been a regular attendee at our legislative meetings and public forums. Some of these meetings run late into the evening, and Steve Wickham remains there until the very end. He’s already speaking out intelligently and eloquently on important issues both at our public hearings and alongside advocates.

Steve Wickham has shown he’s ready to serve. Now, all he needs is your vote.

Please join me in supporting Steve Wickham so we can continue our push towards positive, progressive legislation on behalf of the people we serve.

Andrew Joyce

Albany

Editor’s note: Andrew Joyce is the chairman of the Albany County Legislature.
