Jake the Snake showcases community creativity

Jake the Snake is growing along the Maple Avenue sidewalk in front of the village parking lot in Altamont.

To the Editor:

I’m excited to share a new community project that’s bringing creativity and connection to our town — Jake the State Farm Rock Snake!

Located at our office, at 106 Maple Avenue in Altamont, Jake is a growing, colorful snake made entirely of painted rocks.

We invite everyone — residents, families, local businesses, and visitors — to join in the fun. Here’s how it works: Simply paint a rock (any size, any style!) and add it to the snake’s growing body.

As more rocks are added, Jake will keep getting longer, showcasing the unique creativity of our community.

This is a fantastic way for us to come together, express ourselves, and brighten up our neighborhood. We encourage everyone to stop by, check out all the unique additions, and maybe even leave your own mark.

Let’s see how long Jake can grow and how creative our community can be!
