To the Editor:

My name is Madison Pasquini. I am a ninth-grade student at Berne-Knox-Westerlo, and one of the main activities that I participate in at school is soccer.

Soccer pre-season begins in August and it finishes towards the end of October. Each summer, I am excited to get back on the field and play with my fellow peers. For the past two seasons, I have been able to play soccer with my sister on my team, and those are memories I will cherish forever.

I like being able to bond with different people from my school, and I like that it is something that I can do to alleviate stress. It gives me a chance to use my mind in a different way other than just school.

I have been playing this sport since I was 4 and I would not want to give it up. It has developed me into the person that I am today because it has provided me with new experiences and new opportunities.

I think that it is important for BKW to continue to offer this because it will give girls an experience to maybe try out something new. I want to keep playing because it keeps me sane.
